Wicked Sheets Gives Back

Wicked Sheets is using each Monday during the month of April to highlight a different organization we work with across the community. Businesses, non-profits, and individuals have been incredibly supportive of Wicked Sheets over the last eight years and we want to make sure to highlight the ways in which we work to repay those around us.

During April, we’ll be participating in the following events around Kentucky:

  • Commerce Lexington’s Emerge 2016 Conference
  • Bellarmine University’s 2016 Day of Giving
  • Louisville’s Jr. Achievement Startup Pitch Competition at the Kentucky Center
  • Awards in the Arts, sponsored by the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation

Now in its third year, Commerce Lexington’s 2016 Emerge Conference is designed to foster networking among local entrepreneurs as well as provide education on community engagement in both professional and personal life. Register for Emerge now! The conference luncheon will feature keynote speaker Paul Wesselmann, as well as an entrepreneurial panel with Alex Frommeyer of BEAM Dental, JK McKnight of the Forecastle Festival, and our own founder and CEO of Wicked Sheets, Alli Truttmann.

Bellarmine has been a staple of the Highlands community for the last 66 years. On April 19, 2016, they are holding their annual Day of Giving. We want to make sure we help them have the most successful fundraiser to date. Alli is a 2006 graduate of Bellarmine with a B.A. in Psychology. It was playing soccer at Bellarmine that heightened Alli’s athletic skill – and her sweat levels! Wicked Sheets wouldn’t exist without her, quite literal, sweat and hard work.

Louisville’s Jr. Achievement of Kentuckiana focuses on getting adolescents from elementary through high school engaged and involved with their community and understanding the various facets of the working world and personal finance. Make sure to reserve your ticket to the event here. “I wish JA would’ve been around when I was in high school,” said Alli. “I could’ve used the help with company financial strategies. Math isn’t my strong suit!”

During the weekend before the Derby, the Fund for the Arts, with sponsorship by the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation, is holding its first annual Awards in the Arts at Churchill Downs. Sewing is the core of our business and without such an art we wouldn’t exist. You’re welcome to contribute alongside us <a href="http://awardsinthearts.fundforthearts vente de viagra en suisse.org" onclick="__gaTracker('send', 'event', 'outbound-article', 'http://awardsinthearts.fundforthearts.org', 'here');" target="_blank">here. Attendees of the event will receive products from Wicked Sheets, along with items from Dior, Joy Mangano, and Rodeo Drive. Proceeds from the events will benefit the arts in the community in Louisville.

“April is shaping up to be one of the busiest on record. We’re doing our best to help highlight the great work that others are doing in and around our community,” said Alli. “Without the outpouring of support, Wicked Sheets could not have been so successful. I truly hope you’ll consider supporting one (or all!) of the events above.”

For once, Alli doesn’t have to rely to on crude bodily function jokes as the center of her message. April is all about giving back!
