What are Cooling Sheets made of?

One of the top questions we get at Wicked Sheets is about the materials from which our bedding is made. How are your cooling sheets made? What are they made of? Does the effectiveness wear off when you wash them? Do they have in-depth washing requirements?

Thankfully, the answers to these common questions are simple.

Our Wicked-Cool™ moisture-wicking + cooling bed sheets and pillowcases are made of a silk-weight poly-nylon fiber blend, which remains 2 to 3 degrees cooler to the touch while providing the same moisture-wicking capability of our wicking sheets. This innovative fabric also contains a special UV-cut fiber component that stops the absorption of heat from light sources.

Once people hear the materials that go in our bedding, their next questions are often about polyester. "It's an old fabric!" "It's scratchy!" "My Mom's old suits were polyester!" "How can that be a good bedding material?"

While Polyester was invented in 1941 by a group of British scientists, it's been nearly 80 years since the first bolts were made and it’s been further refined and is as safe as ever!

Sleep, sweat, rinse and repeat in cooling sheets
