Night Sweats and Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Night Sweats and Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, there are between 250,000 and 350,000 people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in the United States with an estimated 250 new cases being diagnosed a week. In addition to the many debilitating symptoms presented by MS, the leading drugs prescribed for the disease can cause multiple side effects, including hot flashes and night sweats. Our customers tend to tell us that flushing and increased anxiety can occur after administering doses of a very common (and effective) drug, Copaxone. Both of these side effects have led to increased sweat production for our customers.

To see a list of the twelve most commonly prescribed U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved medications for those diagnosed with and/or treating MS, please visit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's website (www.nationalmssociety.org). There you can find information on local chapters, common occurrences, outreach, and support.

At Wicked Sheets, our mission is to provide comfort sleep solutions to those suffering from night sweats. However, beyond this we also strive to provide support for causes that can make a difference for our customers with MS by way of research funding.

So in support of MS research and our own local Bluegrass, Bikes, Bourbon & BBQ for MS event, beginning today through this coming Sunday, June 28th we will be donating 10% of our proceeds to MS research. The Bluegrass, Bikes, Bourbon & BBQ for MS is a two-day cycling event. We’re proud that two of our customers will be racing this year dawning the Wicked Sheets logo on their jerseys!

If you’ve thought about trying our product for the first time or are thinking about a gift or reorder, purchase our moisture-wicking and cooling sleep and bedding products between now and this coming Sunday and help to find a cure for MS.
